All the hoops, expenses, writing an essay on why you deserve to get a CCW license---this just gets you on a list to be considered by the local chief of police for a CCW license. IMHO, it is well worth listening to.

I grew up in Massachusetts. It's always been hard to get a permit there, depending on what town you lived in. It's always been hard to do anything gun related there for that matter. When I was home on leave at 18, I had to stand before the Chief of Police in my town to get issued a Massachusetts firearms ID card...which was required for the routine purchase and possession of firearms and ammo....and that was back in the mid 80's

IMHO, a better/more precise way to state it would be: "So this is a precautionary tale of second amendment hell. Do not let your firearms rights slip away or you will be living in "ANY lib dem gun hatin'/grabbin' blue state. This will be especially true if the gun hatin'/grabbin' lib dems get the opportunity to appoint two or more SCOTUS judges"(legislation from the bench) AND a big bunch of eunuch RINOs are elected/are re-elected."
