I had a guy that I worked for that somehow worked the Loma Prieta earthquake and chased Manuel Noriega in the US Army Rangers at the same time. He was in every military conflict from 1988-1998 and also worked every natural disaster during that same period. Claimed he had blackbox full auto weapons that were used in special ops and had no serial numbers... he said his unit was transported by helicopter a lot and on the trips back they would make a pass over the ocean where they were supposed to punt the weapons out the door, but he says he didn't, that he kept all of them. So he has a SAW and M4 and etc. Oh yeah sure.

He also claimed he didn't owe me $30,000 in invoices, but I finally bugged him enough to where he paid all but $1,000, and I was finally tired of chasing it. Had to move on.


But on the other hand I had a guy who worked for me who was in the Army and then in the Rangers. Most of his stories were about how bored they would get, the stupid crap they would do and how much trouble they would get into when they did stupid/boredom stuff.

This **** is funny. These assclowns are everywhere. Hell, we just kicked one of them out of Regiment. He'd made it and everything and then posted a pic on Facebook of him with a Ranger and Long Tab. Stupid privates...

HAHA! When I left basic at Ft Cambell Ky, and was flying home for leave, the MP's were escorting a skeeter winger out of the airport that had major emblems on his lapel, and sergeant stripes on his arm. We were at an elevator, and they said he was acting as a Sergeant Major to get a better chance for a standby seat on a flight out. LOL....

With regards to the "100+ Iraqis surrendering," I remember a story from Desert Storm where Iraqi soldiers were trying to surrender to some news media. Thus, that part of his story just might be true.

Well, possibly. I do know that he was in the military atleast in basic according to another coworker. I think he washed out though. This malarkey about being an army ranger medic and going to ranger school and jump school at ft benning is a bunch of bull. I've been really tempted to ask to see his DD-214. We have some actual vets on our shift and they try asking him questions and he shuts up. We have one guy on maint named matt and he is a navy vet and has jump experience. He started asking matthew questions and matthew started stuttering and shaking and just shut up.

We had numerous Iraqis trying to surrender to our FO team (3 Marines) back in 1991.

Also, every Navy guy I ever met in a bar was a SEAL. There must be 142 SEAL teams by my count.

I worked with a guy that was a SEAL sniper. Even met Carlos Hathcock while he was doing some training at Quantico.
We started talking long-range shooting, and he didn't know what minute of angle was. Kinda sad, really, must not have much to talk about if you have to make up BS all the time.

Maybe I'm too cynical but I think even Hathcock embellished a lot of his stories.

Hell, I dont know how I managed to not break my wifes hand. She didnt want us to go see it but My dumbass said "ehh Ill be fine"........... yeah right!!!

I just wish people who did serve would find some pride in the job they ACTUALLY did, instead of embellishing past the point of sanity.

I was 0844 Field Artillery Fire Control. I ran a computer and came up with firing solutions for M198 howitzers during the Gulf War. Sine it was the USMC, naturally, I also had to be a machine gun team leader during my "off" shift.

What's wrong with that??
