For those interested in one of these, both are incredibly accurate little guns; pick the one <em>you</em> like best, the tube-fed Marlin XT 22tr, (they also make a regular XT 22 box mag) or the Savage MK II, box mag bolt gun. I know, I know, a CZ 455 is a great rifle, but I doubt I would be any better with it than either this Marlin or the Savage I already have. I already got a Boyd's Pro-varmint Stock for the Marlin, in Royal Jacaranda, and a Montana Sling. <a href="http://s1177.photobucket.com/user/joelnmary/media/Firearms/Boyds%20stock%202_zpsw46ys9dt.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.okshooters.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/i1177.photobucket.com_albums_x354_joelnmary_Firearms_Boyds_20stock_202_zpsw46ys9dt.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></a> <a href="http://s1177.photobucket.com/user/joelnmary/media/Firearms/IMG_2421_zps7bzbppx0.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.okshooters.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/i1177.photobucket.com_albums_x354_joelnmary_Firearms_IMG_2421_zps7bzbppx0.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></a></p></blockquote><p></p>
Update: He likes the Marlin best; no real reason; he just says he likes the Marlin a little better. So I guess he will be getting a Marlin XT-22tr for his birthday. I'll hold onto the Savage and that will be my plinking-bolt .22 rifle. For those interested in one of these, both are incredibly accurate little guns; pick the one you like best, the tube-fed Marlin XT 22tr, (they also make a regular XT 22 box mag) or the Savage MK II, box mag bolt gun. I know, I know, a CZ 455 is a great rifle, but I doubt I would be any better with it than either this Marlin or the Savage I already have. I already got a Boyd's Pro-varmint Stock for the Marlin, in Royal Jacaranda, and a Montana Sling.
