I counted it all and there is 298 rounds and it is about half ball and half with a green tip . the paint is wore off most of it but you can tell it was there

If it is military ammo it is 5.56mm not .223 (no, they are not the same). The green tip indicates it is M855 ammo which has a steel penetrator in the tip.
