Why don't they go out of town to a Sam's club to buy sugar and stuff instead of going down to the neighborhood piggly wiggly and loading up the F-150 while the clerk with one tooth grins and says "yall's makin' shine aintcha"?
The whole sugar thing is just to maximize product, but in my opinion at the cost of quality. Real whiskey just utilizes the natural sugars of the grain. You don't know how bad I wish distilling was legal without a license. I already do half the process legally. Just can't distill. Would love to try my hand at making bourbon or "scotch".
