Hey everbody. Mom seems to have improved slightly, but she's far from out of the woods. But it looks like she'll still be her for her 85th birthday tomorrow.
Been trying to think of something useful to say. Gonna go with "Count your blessings." My mom died of ovarian cancer in 2004, after refusing treatment the 3rd time it appeared. Fought it off twice, in1994 & 1999. I took care of her for several weeks the first and third times. And by the time it was over we were just glad she wasn't hurting anymore. She was about 3 months past her 65th birthday when she passed. I would give an arm and a leg to see her again. Turns out we weren't quite talked out the last time.

Thanks, she's a tough woman. But I think she's tired of being sick..........................................and missing Dad.
Can dig it. SWMBO's a decade younger than I am, and getting very tired of it. Probably pretty tired of me being her caretaker, too. I'm trying to make some of the veggie soup she likes, and...

She'd much rather do it her self, but can't stand long enough. Sitting isn't all that comfortable, either.

Hey, everbody. Mom is going into hospice care. But, at least, she made it to her birthday.
She still knows who gou are, too. Told you my mom's been gone a while, but I also have a step-mom. Innocent young girl who fell for my dad, same as Mom did. I was 6 when I first met her, and she was pregnant with my half-sister. And 17. Last time I talked to her, earlier this year, she didn't know who I was.

Good luck and God Bless!
