Mounting TV above Fireplace

I ended up with a horrible crick in my neck for days.

This is what goes through my mind whenever I see a TV mounted above a fireplace. I suppose it's not so bad in larger rooms where you sit further back from the TV, though.

Mantels are to high for tv's in most cases. You need a 60+ screen and sit twenty feet away. I mounted a 60'' about 36inchs from the ground, viewing bliss.

I mounted a 61" above my fireplace, and to be honest I almost wish I went with a bigger TV! The hardest part was running all the wires up and down the walls. But well worth it
