Congrats to Evan on an awesome buck! I hunted all day Saturday and yesterday evening, Sat morning I saw one little 6 point and a doe and fawn, 4 does Sat evening, had a 4 point and a spike come out last night and the little knotheads were going at it like two brothers, knocking heads, it was entertaining, so entertaining in fact that I couldn't quit watching them, caught movement out to my right and had a nice tall racked buck out about 70 yards or so, it was just too dark to get a good look at him by then, I was trapped in my stand until about 8:15 or so when they finally cleared out. Hoping next weekend will be a little better.
I decided this morning after shooting the Zouave a bit this morning that I was putting the scoped inline up for the season and hunting the rest of the season with the Zouave, or as I like to call it "The Zamboni"
went out opening day Sat morning in Pawhuska .. zero activity .. no deer tracks/signs anywhere. no acorns dropping in heavy Oak forest. heard two shots all day ..
