I was camping this week end and it was 35 degrees when I got up saturday. I was at over 8000 feet.
I love that country! We go to Pitkin (45mi ENE of Gunnison) every year. I might hit those springs this year. I've been going for 13 years and I've never hit the hot springs.....
depending on if you want to stay at the hotel at the springs its like $170 a night, and stay away from the spa motel or "healing waters" resort across the street, their pools are gender segregated so if you wanted to be in the pool with your wife or gf you couldnt. If you want to go a cheaper route its like $25 bucks for a day pass to the hot springs, stay at a cheaper hotel and save some money.
