It's an antique mail sorting table from Chicago. The boxes are labeled Sears, Aldens, M Wards, Hyde Park, Tribune, Sun Times etc.

I don't have my press mounted yet, but I couldn't wait to show it off.

My wife bought it several years ago at an antique store in Idabel, but didn't have room in the house for it so we sold it to a friend to use in her flower shop to display stuff. The friend sold her flower shop and I bought it back from her.

We just moved into a bigger house and I have enough space to set up an real loading room as opposed to an 8X8 corner in a storage shed. Next purchase will be a good gun safe to put against the main wall where the "Cowboy" sign is.

It looks like it could be an old USPS hand sorting desk.

Danny, you might look out for any of the closings the post office might be doing soon and see if they are going to auction off any of there old equipment. Alot of the smaller offices should have desks very similar to that.

Are you sure you want to do that to your table? If I was you I would contact people who are into that kind of stuff. All the auction stuff on TV and whatnot what you have there sounds like it would be worth alot of money to the right person.

I might look into this before I started drilling holes in it to mount presses on.
