My New (to me) Money Maker

Well it's not 100% yet. I signed a purchase agreement on the big girl this morning. She still has to pass a company inspection, but pending that, she's mine....and the bank's.

2007 FTL Columbia Detroit 14L 490hp (upgradeable to 515hp) 12 speed full auto tranny 3.55 gears ThermoKing Tripac APU. It was the nicest truck in Oklahoma for sale in my price range. I'm stoked!

Thanks. Yeah, it's been on my mind. But this should be a 6-6.5mpg truck without the APU. The APU should bring it up over 7mpg since I won't have to idle the truck at night to stay warm or cool. I've never driven a full auto truck before but I think I'm gonna dig it. I test drove it twice and I gotta say it's pretty cool just stepping on the brake and pulling up to a red light then just gassing it up on green. I might get used to that!

Wow, so will a HP upgrade of 25hp really do much for that thing? I would think the torque increase would be the biggest thing you would be after.

Nah, thy don't need too when they put out between 1200 and 1800 lb-ft of torque. Plus have hellacious gearing.
