Hate USAA. Got hit by a member (actually he had no military service but his dad did.) He was at fault, USAA slow walked it for months, I had to go out and take photos myself of the scene and upload them three times and explain what happened three times. My insurance company got involved. Police were unavailable at the time, I filled out the police report over the phone. Sorry your wife works for such a crappy company. Literally a year before they declined it.

Just an FYI...All insurance companies will defend their customer until it is proved different. It's just the way it's done.

I am sure they will, but they said they were sending out someone to take photos of the accident scene, and every time I called over 3 months they swore up and down they would. This was also a while back. It's one thing to defend your customer, but to continually lie about sending someone out, lose several reports from me, deny getting photos from me for almost a year is just incompetence and isn't protecting their customer, it's fraud. State Farm took care of it a year later, sent them a bill, I eventually got my deductible. Good thing I had documented everything.

So, USAA protected their client until the end. As any insurance company will do.

I was sitting at home, in my recliner watching TV with my two yr old daughter on my lap. 15' away. Some yahoo decided to hit my truck in my driveway and total my truck. Did I bitch about the idiot not having insurance? You better believe I did. I filed under my insurance to make me complete. Two years later I receive my deductible payment back after my insurance sued the drunk who totaled my truck. It's a cruel world, hang on and deal with it.
