us heckling?, I watched the fathers media event, he was the one grinning, heckling, and smirking about about just before going live. I don't see whats so funny to him when he is about to talk about his daughter being murdered.

Any person from NBC or any news agency who is caught doing this sort of manipulation should immediately be fired. And anyone over them that knows about it. And anyone involved in the technical editing of it. No exceptions.

Of course, these things are intentional and probably happen quite frequently, we just catch them every so often.

It's not just NBC. The whole media is propagating gun control in every broadcast. The CBS evening news tonight was one emotional plea after another with an unfavorable edit of LaPierre in front of a Senate committee. This trotting out parents of these kids is really out of line IMO. It the same as asking the family of someone killed in an auto accident what should happen to the other driver. The family is grieving and cannot make a rational, fact based decision. Their emotions will cloud all judgement.

They are pushing and pushing hard. The main difference between 94 and now is that the internet provides an easy way to disprove their position and the social media to spread the truth around.

You know watching that video, we need to have a better response than "Shall not be infringed" when someone challenges us about modern sporting rifles. We may hold the constitution near and dear but many, many people don't give two $hits about it and many more are simply apathetic to it. Like it or not, we have to try and win some of those people to our side. The only way to do that is provide examples when they challenge us.

Correct response to the guys question would have been "To protect yourself against multiple assailants who wish to do you and your family harm during emergencies and national disasters. As has occurred during the LA riots and Hurricane Katrina. Or the stay at home mother of 3 that is defending her life against multiple intruders. Or the farmer/rancher that is trying to control an out of control feral hog population."

Modern sporting rifles have a very important place and use. We need to highlight these uses to people who cannot see past the emotional response of "No one can give me any reason you should own an "assault weapon". The argument of defense against tyranny and intent of the second amendment holds very little sway with these and many other people.
