Because they use the vin to look up the info, it’s not encoded in the vin.

Or you can do what I used to do when I did it for a living take the cylinder out .take it apart .read the pins .put it back together and code cut your key each size pin has a number value
Like Bocephus says title and VIN number they cut a key at the dealer. Have had it done a couple times. These weren’t the fancy keys.Have kids that lose keys. I know a guy that guy that programs the keys and cuts for $40. He will come to you.
