Need info on .223 brands.

Anybody know anything about Norma Tactical or Wolf Gold?

Wolf Gold is brass cased ammo. Many people say it is good to go.

I just found out that the Norma Tactical is a Norwegian ammo company that's been around since 1902. They are using Lake City to produce ammo for them here in the states.

I’ve never shot Norma 223 ammo, but I’ve shot a bunch of their 9.3x74r ammo and use their brass in several other calibers. Again, I have no experience with their 223, but it’s a very reputable company.

I have have never been able to figure out if the Norma Tac ammo at $5.99 for 20 at Midsouth uses the same .223 brass Norma sells for reloading. The preloaded Tac is .30 a round. A box of 100 pieces of their brass is $56.84 making it one of the most expensive after Lapua at .57 a piece. The Tac has a photo with a Norma head stamp. I would sure like to know if its the same stuff.

I believe that ammo is made at the Lake City plant, which means it’s going to be LC brass.
