I did just that. I got 3 with the OC formula and the UV dye. 1 is specifically to practice with.
Good deal! What brand did ya go with? Please report back after the test run and let us know. I’d buy a couple if they work well.

I once bought a few cheap key chain pepper sprays that were on sale. When I tried one I was shocked how quickly the stream ran out. They were garbage

Just starting with something basic for now. Also had to go with something that was easy to carry. (The whole, the 25acp you carry is better than the 9mm/45acp at home.)

Mace Brand Triple Action Pepper Spray, Pocket Model, Personal Model or Police Model, Black https://a.co/d/32hGRdv
Thanks for sharing. Again, if ya don’t mind please post how well they work when you try one. As far as stream duration and range

Not trying to be smart-aleck at all... but my wife and girls carry a snub-nose, hammerless, S&W in .38, or .357 loaded with .38. They're not highly trained, but all they have to remember is pull the trigger and keep pulling it. About twice a year I ask 'em "how do you run this?" Answer: (with an eye roll) "pull the trigger". Can be fired through a purse or jacket pocket without fouling/malfunctioning and turning into a single-shot weapon. Won't go out of battery (and therefore not fire) if pressed against bad guy's ribcage or grabbed by bad guy.

Pepper spray is difficult to deploy on an assailant. You might notice most uses are "offensive" on immobile but noncompliant subjects (by LEO), not defensively on assailants. The same with tasers. Additionally, taser effect ceases completely the instant contact is lost.
I have recently bought 3 guns (S&W 43c, 351pd, and a 642) for my daughter to try to see which she likes/is most comfortable with, and I intend to resell whatever she doesn’t pick.
However, the magic number making her legal to protect herself with a handgun is a little over 2 years away, so since she’ll be living off campus this next year, I’m going to look into these less lethal options for her. Thanks for posting!!! :thumb:

She can get a Maine Non-resident permit at 18 and OK will honor it. I would also suggest trying a few other pistols. Let her try something other than just revolvers, and if you go 351PD, have that hammer bobbed. Nothing against revolves, as I have a handful in my carry rotation including a 642, but there are a few semi autos that might fit her better.
