I have a 43 Long Branch NO 4 MK I that the forearm and front stock have been shortened. I think it was done by the importer. Has been my go-to rifle for decades. Anyway, my eyes are not what they use to be and I am really needing a scope on my rifle. The question is, should I add a scope which also means a composite sporter stock, or trade it for something like an inexpensive 308? I love old Bertha Butt from the action to the safety and the old 303 has done everything I have ever needed and I have something like 400 rds for it, plus reloading gear, but part of me thinks it might be time to move on. What are your opinions.
