Last patent date is 1914. Looks to be a Model of 1905, either 3rd or 4th change. Do you have a serial number?

Love the pistol. If it still shoots good, that makes is a great pistol. Lots of character.

Doing a bit more research. Due to the small S&W mark on the left side, I believe yours is a 4th change. I can give you a decent guess at the date of manufacture with a SN. They made them from 1915-1942 so it would just be a guess. You would need a letter from S&W (about $50) to nail it down hard.
