Saw this knife in a pawn shop. Is anyone familiar with this type of knife. Only markings are shown in pic. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
I've looked for China knives and haven't had any luck matching that one. One interesting note is that the sheath was hand tooled thick leather with alligator pattern on one side. Very well made.I have seen the knife somewhere before and I think it is a made in China knock off, but I could be wrong.
I have also thought about it could have been a proto type knife that never saw production but then was told most proto knives had an "X" mark on them. So now I'm thinking it is probably a salvaged mk II and retro fitted with the bayonet grips. Thanks everyone for your input. Although still a mystery I think i might take a chance and purchase the knife if I can get it at a fair price.
