I mow a lot and have all of them. Tanaka is a really good brand as well. I just helped mow 60 acres last week and we have Shindaiwa, Sthil, and Echo and I would rate them in that order. To me the Echo falls behind in smoothness and power. They tend to give out more vibrations. The Shihl stick edger is a best but I really like the Shindaiwa engines. We have one that is beat to hell and used by a variety of people and starts every time. I have an 11 year old Tanaka week eater at home this is still going.
