Druryj, here is the one problem with the non-violence pledge, the people who signed it are probably not going to respond to violence anyway. I connect people signing nonviolence pledges to be the same as people signing a pledge to not rape women. The people who signed the pledge were never going to do it anyway. Plus in addition, do they honestly believe that somehow because he signed the pledge that if you had even in your heart that will somehow stop you. Someone bent on doing ill or murder is probably not concerned that they will be viewed as a liar. It is not like the state can punish you worse because you signed the pledge and then broke it
