Might not be near as bad as projected in the UK.

"One of the leading UK epidemiologists informing the government of its policy options, Neil Ferguson, just reduced his projections of total UK deaths from 400,000 to 20,000 (or lower) – a 95% reduction – because he had more data to develop a better model. Other epidemiologists suggest that there is evidence using current data that the fatality rate will be closer to 0.1% than the the original WHO estimate of 3%. Pretty big change."

0.1% is still 5x deadlier than any influenza, type A and B influenza have a mortality rate of 0.02%, when you take 0.02 x 5, you get 0.1%, math is fun!

I think Trump should get rid of all his advisors, and hire "The Zombie"!

We would have never had the problems we are having now, as every state in the union would have had full travel restrictions, no commuting for leisure for 6 months, that allows contact tracing to occur, and to quarantine the infected and asymptomatic carriers.

Nobody in OK needs to go to Florida for fun right now. If it isn't agriculture or manufacturing medical equipment, it probably isn't necessary. Defense Production Act ripcord would have been pulled in February. Stafford Act March 1st.

We are in this for the long haul now though, normalcy won't just return, because if we do that, the virus will rear it's ugly head again and again, until it kills large percentages of the population.

There is no "herd immunity".

Being able to do something and EGO are completely different hombre, I would argue people doing the job for money are the egotistical ones, because they can't even get it together, people in positions of power like Sheriff's around here are as backwards as they come, don't even believe in that fancy word science.

Here, but occasionally There.
Odd...

...you know how it is that the Chinese populace HAS to have their cell phones for anything and everything, but you don't understand so much else. Do you really think that "commuting" only for agriculture or manufacturing medical equipment should be all there is? You do realize, don't you, that a very, very high percentage of the food you buy (not to mention so many other products needed daily) doesn't come directly off the farm or from a medical manufacturing source?

According to the Johns Hopkins site, the US is now less than 1,000 confirmed cases behind Italy and less than 2,000 cases behind China. Unfortunately, I think we are about to become the world's hot spot for the virus.
