This pic makes me wish I was there. It looks like the start of a great day. Where was this?

I'm betting Buffalo River in Arkansas.

Nailed it. Figured someone would recognize it. Couple weeks ago, a little hotter than expected but a good trip.

More from that trip, saw several elk and one was a pretty decent bull. Wish I could have gotten a better pic of him, he was way out there. High zoom and kayaks in moving rivers don't mix well.

Always fun on an ultralight.

Fist smallie of the day, it suprised the heck out of me that it was a decent fish. Most are not. He's one of the best smallies I've caught (but that's not saying much) He went under my boat and about took my rod with him, they fight hard. I only brought 3-4 to hand all day though, but I wasn't fishing that hard. I was floating with a friend in another boat who wasn't fishing.

If you float out of Buffalo River Outfitters you recognize those rocks then.:D I use Silver Hill. Same area.

Firetower is in MO (Mark Twain NF) but the same kind are all over the Ozarks.

Here's a shot of my new boat (Native Ultimate), very comfortable and I think it will do well on the waters I fish. I've not had it but a couple months, one river trip and a couple local lakes.

Very nice rig!

I'm still using a 70's model aluminum with accessory seats.
I love the Buffalo.

Go there one time and you will puke before going back to the Illinois in Ok.

Our last visit to the Twin in June. I enjoyed the storm in the background as much as the movie (ToyStory3).
