Molokini crater off the south side of Maui. Went there second week of July...before the island caught on fire. We were on our way out for a snorkeling tour, pretty cool.

We've lived in our little house for about 18 months now. Seems we're always doing something. We stripped it down to the walls before we moved in and completely remodeled everything...except the bathrooms. We kinda ran outta money so the bathroom projects had to wait. In the last few weeks we've started on the smaller one so we can get it finished by Thanksgiving when family will be here.

My very talented wife made this vanity and mirror (with some minor technical assistance with some of the tools...router, pocket screw jig, etc). Still needs the door on the vanity (It's done, just needs painting) and I need to connect the sink drain. I do all the grunt work like electrical, flooring and plumbing. She's gone all in on the "mountain cabin" theme all thru the house. Reminds me of living in Colorado...

I was looking for something online last night and came across this picture of my son from an article in the NARA/DVIDS. I'd never seen this picture before. According to the article he'd just jumped from an Alaska Army Nat'l Guard Blackhawk during a readiness exercise somewhere on JBER in 2020.

I don't even know where he is right now. Since retiring he and the DiL have been cruising around the Rocky Mtn states in their RV. Last I heard he was in Glacier NP. I'm guessing they're in northern Idaho or far western Montana somewhere right now.

Attending a conference in Basel, CH for the week. Been walking about 6 miles/per day seeing the sights in the afternoon/evening. Snapped a picture of this high-end, pay-to-use toilet in a park. Now I see one side is reserved for pissing leprechauns and there’s something golden on the rocks outside of that door.

This chicken follows me around like a puppy. She rides with me in the Mule. Every time I come outside she runs to greet me. I had no idea chickens were so social...
