OK Dl and facial recognition software

Did not know this.
Oklahoma uses facial recognition software tied in with dirvers license pictures.

My wife had to get her DL renewed a few days ago. When they took her picture the computer rejected it becasue their facial recognition software said it wasn't her.
She's had a rough go since her last DL picture, heart attack, double bypass, bi-femoral bypass and all but I don't think it aged her that much.
I wonder if it would have been a major issue if the Tag Agent hadn't known her for several decades.

When did they start using that?

Did not know that but my fingerprints did not match from the last time. Don't know how that could happen unless they got them switched around somehow.
