The web of the hand is lower than the thumb. It's actually a decent grip.

Regardless of the web on her right hand, her left thumb appears to be against the slide (not too sure the right thumb knuckle is safe either)...

Qualifications, Training, and Experience for starters. Who they’ve trained under, how long they themselves have been training and how long they have been training others (and at what level), along with what sort of practical, real world experience they have in the craft etc...

Posting a military rank and “NRA instructor” is very weak and nondescript. Being a “Captain” doesn’t mean squat when it comes to deciding who gets my training dollars. You can throw a rock on any Army base and hit a Captain.

They might be great folks but they aren’t selling themselves well.

When I look at it, it appears to me that her left thumb is resting on the side of the slide.

I may be wrong, I usually am...

Her thumb barely touching the slide shouldn’t be a big deal. The slide will still cycle. It always does for me.

He could be like a Captain in the Salvation Army.
