Talking Gun Confiscation

"A state House bill aiming to better protect victims of domestic violence, calls for the immediate confiscation of weapons from a suspected abuser.

Under the bill, a law enforcement officer could contact a judge to get a court-order to immediately confiscate weapons, if a suspected abuser is posing an eminent threat."...

Guns and knives are not the only weapons available. Back in the early eighties I worked at a fire station on the northeast side of Okc. Responded to many a call in the middle of the night where the female party waited till the man was asleep and poured pots of boiled rice on them while they were sleeping. Seems hot cooked rice sticks to the skin when applied in copious amounts.

I have heard hot grits is pretty much the same.

But I agree another feel good bill taken from the playbook of commiefonria. Unless they are going to take away the world from a person which would end up being false imprisonment, confiscation is about as worthless as a fart fan in an outhouse.

I agree that domestic violence exists but a law like this will be used to cause problems for a lot of people. Ex-girlfriends will be calling in about being beat up when nothing has ever happened though she will have bruises and a "witness" who did the bruising just to get even with someone who left her or somehow wronged her.

All of these "FEEL GOOD" gun laws, which on the surface seem to be “COMMON SENSE” , “BALANCED”AND/OR “REASONABLE”, are ripe for misuse, abuse and draconian enforcement by lib dem gun haters/grabber. They are also a "GOOD FIRST STEP" in gun confiscation and infringing/eradicating our 2nd Amendment Rights, gun ownership and the Constitution itself. If a weapon other than a gun is used in the commission of the crime, nothing is ever said about those items being confiscated, banned, etc. ,etc. Have you ever heard of Skillet Control Inc., Ice Pick Control Inc., Mayors Against Illegal Tire Irons, Mayors Against Illegal Ball Bats, etc., etc., etc.???
