Me too! Neck braces are for pu$$ies! Seriously though, my neck Dr. said I didn't need it. I got my C5/C6 fused April 13th, this year. I feel like a teenage ninja now! They still won't let me run/jog (like I was ever gonna do that) or shoot big guns, but I feel like a million bucks. My Dr. is Kevin Kelly. My surgery was at Baptist. You will be a ninja too... you'll see...
A RN that I've worked with for several years also works there. She recommends the hospital and it's Surgeons without reservation. Just like getting heart work at a high volume heart specialty hospital improves the odds of success, the Spine Hospital offers the same aproach to spinal surgery.
Hm I think that these guys http://integrisok.com/canadian-valley-hospital-yukon-ok/surgery perform spine surgery as well. Does anyone have any inputs regarding them?

I had my last back surgery at Oklahoma Spine Hospital and with the exception with of one docs being a complete ass the experience was very good, all things considered. I'll go back when I have my, hopefully, last surgery. The T-shirt and mug thing was a trip, I thought the guy was kidding but nope. It's actually a very nice thing that sets them apart even if they get the advertising lol. The staff was amazing, the person taking care of me was just the nicest person you could imagine. He kept my bff stocked with chocolate pudding all night lol. It's hard to say enough good about them...the bill, on the other hand, was not so great.
I've had 4 spinal surgery's there. 3 were grerat and the care is exceptional. One surgery didn't help it just made it worse. It failed big time. The surgeon is no longer practicing. So I wouldn't worry.
