From what I have seen CNN is more of an actual new organization than either MSNBC or Fox. I am not saying they are never biased one way or another.

Well, CNN used to be the standard. However, their ratings have tanked big-time in the last few months. I guess more people are realizing that other sources are better, and MSNBC is not even close to being a source of news. Anyway, it may be that CNN has decided that they actually need to get back to investigative reporting in order to regain some credibility and viewers.

It used to be that reporters actually investigated instead of just "quoting" somebody and saying that was newsworthy. Now, so many are just shills. For instance, Harry Reid says that he "knows" someone who used to be "related" to Bain Capitol and that "someone" said that Romney hadn't paid all his taxes over 10 years. Instead of checking out who Reid's source is, many in the news media just echo his words.
