Message: <blockquote data-quote="cpd23" data-source="post: 1470813" data-attributes="member: 14614"><p>I train all the time on new tools and equipment to be proficient in their use.  To be certified in the use of some of my tools I have to take a test and show that I am proficient with them.  To drive a semi you have to pass a test beyond a standard drivers licence.  Would you want anyone with a drivers licence hauling a hazmat load down the highway next to you?  IMHO Its nothing more than common sense and safety to make sure those who are using things that could be dangerous to general public have the knowledge to do it safely.  If you want to carry in public then lets make sure you have the ability to do it in a safe manor. Do you honestly think the average Joe walking down the street would train and understand his responsibility when he strap the gun on without any training requirements?</p></blockquote><p></p>
