everytime i get pulled for additional screening, I always make it a point to act as flamboyantly (and loudly) gay as possible. Most of the time I notice that they tend to speed up their exams if I am talking loudly about how much they must like touching burly men.

Now THAT'S funny!

TSA's problem is the same as every other .gov agency - rules are handed down from on-high along with less pay, more hours, and the obvious stress-level of it being security-related.

Be thankful we've got some good one's at T-town (and gun-folks) because that job would make me cranky - there are lots of airline passengers that tend to be way bigger A-holes than TSA agents.

:pms2:

The last ten time I have flown some where I have always been selected for the additional screening as well. Have no idea why. So now, I just make sure that I eat Eggs (any kind, but pickled and deviled work the best), plus Cabbage, or Broccoli, Kipper snacks or Smoked Oysters from a can, and beans a couple of hours before I go to the airport. Never fails to produce the most horrendous gas cloud possible. One that is released as they bend over for the lower half of the pat down.:fart::D

Ummm... I don't know for sure, but I was under the impression those TSA folks get paid pretty damn well, especially since the job only requires a high-school diploma and a clean background check, right? Not like these guys are high-trained federal agents who go through some academy somewhere... I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but I thought it was just another typical gov't position.
