We frequently have them flittering around a front flower bed. We, too, had to look them up the first time we saw one. We don't seem to be able to attract hummingbirds, but we've got the hummingbird moths!!!

Same here. But they ARE crazy cool to watch.

Wife and were driving in to town to walk the park with our youngest son, and she popped up with a comment about going to visit some relatives. So, she checked with "work," and they said that it might be 6 weeks before we actually go to work. So, now we are planning a trip over something like a three-week period up to visit the family in Idaho.

Man, oh man, do we feel that we need a vacation from our vacation. Really looking forward to this one. The last time we were up there was in 2019 when we went up to help the relatives (wife's cousin and his wife) celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Now to figure out where I might try to talk folks into going so that I can get more pictures.
