Thank you for posting this! I felt myself getting aggravated with my dad yesterday for this exact same thing. I very much needed to read your post this morning.
You are welcome. It has been decades since my folks passed away with my dad at 65 and my mom at around 77.
I'm almost there, at least with regards to the age, but I have to feel like I'm going to around for longer. Only God knows for sure.

Stay awake, patches of heavy rain. Work hard today for the rest of us.
Well today is a Monday. Dawg kept me up half the night (thunder and lightening); had pain management appointment ... Came back out to a car that is completely unresponsive and key won't move locks. I'm guessing a loose battery cable. Waiting on roadside assistance now. Thank goodness I'm some place comfortable. And the rain has let up for the moment. And of course I gotta be at work this afternoon.
