All newer RVs have carbon monoxide detectors, but I don’t think that they are required to have leak detectors. The majority of propane leaks that I’ve seen happen when someone caps a propane line after removing a factory installed fixture such as the refrigerator or heater. I’ve also seen it when a propane company will bring out a large tank to use so the owner doesn’t have to constantly fill the on-board tanks.I double checked our RV today after hearing about the folks dying. We have both propane and two carbon monoxide detectors plus fire alarms.
I thought all RV’s in recent years were required to have them factory installed?
Of course it’s up to the owners to test and maintain them
