I know this is off topic, but thought some may be interested. The PA bear season is still on in paqrts of the state but here are the latest numbers. Total of 3,144 bears so far, including 108 taken during a 2-day bow season. Clinton and Lycoming counties are tied for the lead at 239 each. The late season is still open in those 2 counties. The largest so far is a 707 live weight bruin taken in Wyoming County.

Actually it is the third biggest year ever recorded; the others were 2005 with 4,164 and 2008 with 3,458. It looks like it is sustaining pretty good.
