Back in the day when just getting out of the Army went to work for a company that manufactured geo-seismic electronics. Machine shop for building chassis components in the back away from the assembly labs in the front building. Company was in there putting in a new concrete parking lot and fixing the grade so it would drain correctly. Guy on a backhoe starts screaming, so we run out of the building to see what's going on. He is standing on the ground holding both ends of a severed 1/2" pipe trying to shut off the flow with his thumbs, not having any luck. He's screaming cut off the gas!! I said, dude, let it go. You ever see gas with 100 psi of pressure in a pipe? That's our air line from the compressor up front that runs to the building in the back. We didn't bury it deep enough when installing it.
