Has anyone noticed the Mitchells P-38 at SW. I don't fault them for trying to sell it but asking over 2500 is a stretch. Also when I looked at it the salesboy birddogging me told me the thing was original with captured case and Iron Cross. When I asked why the Cross would have the pistols serial number in it he just looked at me like I was an imbecile and said "because it came with it". Its just a Russian capture that has been heavily buffed and richly reblued. It was a 43 cyq(Spreewerke) which should look lightly blued if captured from Rommels adjutante.
