Looks like OK2A is starting a ammo Co-op and getting Fiocchi ammo at a 25% + discount. It cost $50 a year to be a member.

I havent checked prices to see how good of savings it is but If its a good deal I may join. Other than the credit card surcharge that is against state law.

Prices aren't that great though some look okay.

didn't know credit card surcharges were against state law but I can tell you with assurance that they violate most if not all credit card company contracts and the retailer can lose their ability to take the card in question if they do it.

yep

§14A-2-417. Surcharge for use of credit card.
No seller in any sales transaction may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to use a credit card in lieu of payment by cash, check or similar means.

So are "cash discounts" legal? I have seen these before (usually around 3 to 3.5%) and wondered if this was a way of getting around the credit card "surcharge".

Apparently this law does not apply to the Oklahoma state government. Try to pay for your car tag with a credit or debit card.

Back on topic - I skimmed through the prices on .223 and 9mm and a few were pretty reasonable but not a huge savings that I could see.

I am leary about all of this stuff. I heard a lot of horror stories about "GROUP BUYS" on SKS, Mosins, AKs, etcccccccc.
Not sure if this is the same type of thing or not?

Merchants charging you fees for using your CC are in direct violation of there Merchant Services Agreement with the CC company (Visa, MC, etc....). CC company's have always charged merchants a fee, however, some years ago the merchants started trying to pass that fee onto the customer. This is illegal (in Oklahoma as well). All you have to do is inform the merchant that they are not allowed to charge you a fee based on their Merchant Services Agreement. If they refuse to waive it, simply call the CC and report the merchant. Now, this won't help you at the actual point of sale, but it will help to get the merchant's ability to accept CC's revoked.

Don't pay the fee......people paying it without protest is the reason this has become common practice.
