My initial thought too. But there's another possibility. It's possible that Ryan has knowledge that it won't even come close to passing so he can "safely" allow them their precious vote. I'm not saying this is the case, I obviously don't know but it's possible. If he has changed his stance we will need hot tar, feathers and a rail...

That exactly right and her BS should not be the Republican standard of conduct when they control the House.

Well, that's just it. "Control" is the operative word here. The Republicans were elected to control, so, the republicans need to control and not be bullied or goaded into making concessions to the losers. It's good to be the winner and sucks to be the loser. Those not in control still get a paycheck.

That's not the gambit the Dems are playing. They want a vote so they can further damage vulnerable conservative candidates in purple states this fall. Ryan is playing checkers, they're playing chess.
