There was a bar/restaurant with a couple pool tables just east of there on Main Street. Always seemed busy but it’s a second hand clothing store or something now.
It was always just a beer bar. A lot of folks said he needed a liquor license but he never did.
Don’t know the story about why it closed.

BTW, if you ever watch the Travel Oklahoma TV series, my wife is in one of the mercantile commercials in the dining area.

She was a couple of years older than me at Bartlesville High school. Pretty sure she split for Cali after graduation iirc. Not sure when she moved back. My wife has been in a couple of times. Driven by it dozens of times on the way to and from Bville but have yet to eat there. All the other places are less crowded if we're dying to eat, and we're usually not lol.
