My experiments with pellets was in a revolver, left a ring of lead in the chamber where the closed end of the pellet separated and left the bore. I was using the lowest power ramset charges in my collection. I'm surprised that the 209 primer doesn't blow the end off the pellet like the ramset charge does. I like the idea of the modded 223 brass, that would be great out of a contender I think..
