I just received this update that clarifies a couple items. (Even though I still vehemently oppose this abuse and overreach I am pleased that the initial concerns about import pistols appear to be a nothing burger - for now)

Since the release of the ATF ‘final rule’ 2021R-08F, there have been a great deal of questions and irregularities that will affect our Constitutional rights. Here is what we know, and our current options.
Pistol Braces Aren’t Illegal
First and foremost, we want you to know that pistol braces aren’t illegal. Like you, we think the ruling is unconstitutional, and there are multiple groups already organizing lawsuits. Unfortunately, we know that process is neither quick nor efficient.
In the meantime, though, we do have options.
One of the biggest clarifications we heard from the ATF is that imported pistols are, in fact, eligible for any of these options, including registration. The ATF confirmed this point on January 28th.
We Don’t Like It, Either
Nope, we don’t like it. We think it’s unconstitutional and we think the ATF is overstepping. However, we also understand the importance of letting this situation travel through the court systems. During that process, we encourage you to comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
