You should go shoot it.are Ruger sr556’s any good? I own one but have never shot it. Curious how it stacks up against the others in yalls experience.

^hit the nail on the head. I said this earlier, but there is no one close to PWS, LMT, and LWRC. With PWS being my favorite.PWS (Primary Weapons Systems) is top dog. Their long stroke piston system is better designed than any short stroke system IMO.
new in box, yes piston driven. Adams Arms FGAA00424 P1 5.56x45mm NATO 16' QPQ Melonite / Black Nitride, 6 Position Collapsible Stock Black A2 Griphell of a deal. When you get it send up a review please. I saw some leo trade in around from a copshop on gunbroker. I am told they are excellent. does yours have an adjustable gas block?
I just wanted a piston driven AR. BEst of both worlds. Not suppressed, as I do not own one.PWS, LMT, and LWRC are the premier piston ARs. Imo there is absolutely no one that comes even close. Just wondering, but why are you going piston? Suppressor use?
No issues with that at all!I just wanted a piston driven AR. BEst of both worlds. Not suppressed, as I do not own one.
I’ll get around to it- maybe, haha. I’d imagine like many folks on here I have guns I’ve never shot. And as stated previously, I lack the time and resources to thoroughly test one. It’s not my only AR15, buts it’s my only piston driven one. If they suck, they suck. If they’re great, then great. I got it for a song and am happy to own it regardless. But short of “go shoot it”, there seems to be little feedback To my question. And to clarify- my question wasn’t is an SR556 a good AR, my question was is an SR556 a good piston AR. I have nothing to judge a piston AR against as I have never shot anything other than DI. But judging by the other replies of lwrc, adams, lmt and pws and Ruger not being on that list, perhaps I have my answerYou should go shoot it.
I don't have any guns I have not shot. Some occasionally, and some I wear out, but none don't not have bullets through them.I’ll get around to it- maybe, haha.
