Please be nice when encountering the new gun owners of America.

You wonder why there is a shortage of Guns, Ammo, Magazines?

Think about what is going on with the "uninformed" as Hannity and Limbaugh call them.
They don't know much about guns or where to buy them.
They just know they want some before congress passes a ban.

So, If 1 million new gun owners bought guns in the last 90 days.
Plus a case of ammo for each gun and 10 magazines.
Is it little wonder there is a shortage?

Please! Please! when you encounter these "newbies",
Embrace them and welcome them into the shooting fraternity.
DON"T INSULT OR EMBARASS THEM OVER THEIR PURCHASES!
Help to educate them on how and where to buy shooting gear.

Most of you forget you paid way,way too much for stuff when you first got into the shooting sports.
The new gun owners need you to help them and educate them.

that's a good way of looking at it. I'm glad more people are getting into shooting... more armed people the better, for many reasons. keep it oiled ,keep it ready,and keep booger hookers off bang switches. lol

I think it's a combination of both. I know a lot of folks who know nothing about guns who have bought AR-15s. I hope I'll be able to buy them cheap in a couple of years.

I can't quite go along with that--every foolish decision I've made as an adult was ultimately my fault, after all--but I do agree that rubbing their noses in it is counterproductive. Whether you made foolish decisions when you first got involved with firearms or had the wisdom of Solomon from the get-go, being a jerk is the surest way to make an enemy out of someone who should be a natural ally in the fight to preserve the RKBA.

Also, it's just good manners to be kind to n00bs.

Yea that way youll be in the know when the new wears off and they want to download them....Cheap

I find that this is not true. When ever I have been in a store there has been at least two maybe three new gun buyers. Usually it has been a man and a woman and they are looking for a gun for her. She is new and some of the men are new gun owners. Look at the amount of CC permits granted lately. A lot of those are new owners. Look at the shooting classes held at your local gun club. Those generaly are new onwers too. And congradulate them on taking a class. IMHO.
