I want to say the Vapor's thumb-stud is pressed in, and there's no way you're going to find someone who will repair it for less than the cost of a new one (unless they're doing it for free).

KAI's customer service is pretty awesome and returning a knife is easy (they're also fast).

Print the warranty form, fill it out and send it in. You'll get it back before you know it (if they can't repair it, they'll send you a form with credit and tell you to pick out your new knife - it's typically way more money than the original knife cost too FYI).
