I believe the Assistant Trainer that performed CPR on the field was a MWC and O State alum, Denny Kellington. My wife remembered him and a sister I believe from school. Our friends that are in the medical field are beside themselves excited that this young man is pulling through. It sounds like the staff on the field, in the ambulance, and at the hospital truly had a higher power on their side and nailed it to give this guy a second shot at life.

I really hope this momentum carries forward for him and his family.

"Per the physicians at UCMC, Damar’s breathing tube was removed overnight. He continues to progress remarkably in his recovery," the statement posted to Twitter read.

"His neurologic function remains intact, and he has been able to talk to his family and care team."

The Bills also confirmed reports that Hamlin joined the team meeting on Friday morning via FaceTime and shared an important message. "Love you boys."
