I think this is what his advisers have informed him of as well. He came outta the gate hard at us right after re-election. It failed miserably even in the face of tragedies he attempted to use to further his agenda. I'm sure that was a sobering loss for his administration, they are in planning mode now with their sights set on a second assault. Timing will be key to their success if they are to succeed.

I'm not surprised at all with the timing of his plans. Sad to say it's a cold calculated move on his part & even sadder the majority of our citizens will never notice.

He is trying to sign a controversial treaty when the Congress is out of session and likely to be shifting their focus to other things. I bet he never submits it for ratification (consent by a 2/3 vote) to the Senate. He will likely do what other recent presidents have done and simply "act" like the treay has been passed until stopped by a court or the Congress from doing so.

You can't blame Obama, all that "quibbling" as he calls it, really annoys him.

That whole thing with having to pass stuff through Congress first just gets in the way of what is best for the American people.
