Note also this line in that story: "We suspect this false claim was inspired by the 2007 swearing-in of Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., an American convert to Islam and the first Muslim elected to Congress. Ellison used a Koran that once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, borrowing the rare book from the Library of Congress." That was very well-covered at the time, particularly the fact that it was Jefferson's Koran.

Also note that it would have been during his inauguration as a senator, as the e-mails predate his election to the Oval Office. I know you didn't specify the office, but picking out little details like that goes a long way toward exposing myths.

I think those you mentioned and others are in lock step with obama when he said he was going to fundamentally change the United States.
They are part of the cadres that followed his idealiology to change us to a socialist society.
