I’m getting older and my memory fades. What were powder prices maybe 10-12 years ago? For that matter what were primer prices back then as well? Seems like 1000 SPP were running maybe 45.00/1k.

about 21-28 dollars a pound here .
Just checked yesterday the LGS has a pound of IMR4227 or IMR4198 and Reloader 7 and they were all 42 dollars and change. I left.

Summer 2020, Academy had primers $40/k


2010, primers were $120/5k
Powders $8-$10

Pre-Sandy Hook powder was $10-20/lb. Primers were $100-150/5k. I have pull down military surplus powder that was $3-5/lb from back then. I remember IMR and Hodgdon were higher than Alliant or Ramshot, and Federal/Remington primers were more than CCI which were more than S&B.

The pic is of the oldest primers in my inventory. I think they would have been from the late 80's or early 90's. I stopped reloading shotgun shells about that time.

This increase is very recent folks and we knew that already.

This was all from Sears supply.
I am sure I paid a lot of their light bills

Those were the good old days huh? I thought I remembered it being a heck of a lot cheaper. Maybe if “let’s go Brandon” moves on prices will settle a bit.
