I have them all in silicone gun sleeves, I've used G96 on them for a long time (recommended by Bethel Shamburg). I wipe them down with a silicone impregnated cloth after handling. What else?

Does any one know how long the sleeves are effective? some are Cabella's and some are Winchester.
How about the cloths? These are Birchwood Casey and Winchester.

I wipe all my guns down with "bore butter". I figgered if it worked for my nasty black powder guns it ought to work on my modern guns. It has.

The plastic sleves are good for 5 year storate per military specs but they should last much longer if you don't reuse them.
A packet of Desiccants is always a good thing to throw in too.
We buy Disiccant packets from Uline and our plastic sleve too.

Here's a test done by a blackpowder shooter several years ago. Very interesting. I don't think you're referring to BP guns, but if a product will protect against BP fouling it should protect against about anythng.

One BPCR shooter swears by Eezox. He put it on steel wool and it protected from rust for several months while sitting on a bulkhead 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean. Here's a link to his test:

Ballistol has always worked good for me, as well as Bore Butter. I don't store my guns on a bulkhead 100 feet from the ocean. Another good product is SweetShooter, but very expensive.

On the other hand, nothing works better than regular maintenance.

+1 on this. I think thats how/where i got the idea. Plus i got a lot of tubes and jars of bore butter.

Another trick is to leave the cap off of a can of 3 in 1 oil and place it on a shelf in the safe or gun cabinet. It kinda evaporates sorta, leaves a very slight film on everything.
